Glad you could use our day to make a political post.

Those of us who served, especially in combat branches learn what brotherhood is and we dont see race or other factors--we are a family that comes before our other families.

Just glad I was raised with a sense of duty and honor. I can stand and be counted. Now all these noncombat people are ruining the service. No more being torn down in basic. No more shark attacks, being put down and put back together as a team. Nothing to say we made it through this together, we can make it through anything.

That stuff made combat easier. It made me a stronger person and selfless.

Thank you for another well written column.

Those who want to engage in endless partisanship have lost sight of the larger framework of common goals, and universal institutions like measured debate and discourse, and how important the latter are in setting the parameters for our advancement.

What would happen to Hockey if much of the refereeing, the draft process, the no-tampering rule, the revenue sharing agreement and everything that is common to the sport was itself subjected to charges of favoritism?

If such allegations reached a critical level, and were echoed by coaches and team owners, the sport would lose its legitimacy and collapse.
